Suspects Sought After Two Overnight Home Invasion Robberies in Los Angeles

Police hunt for suspects in home invasions news headline

Los Angeles authorities are investigating two separate home invasion robberies that took place overnight, raising concerns in some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods.

The first incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at a residence located on Otsego Street near Coldwater Canyon Drive in Sherman Oaks. Responding officers arrived to find a large police presence at the scene, where a visibly distressed woman holding a baby was seen sitting on the curb, according to video footage obtained by KTLA.

Preliminary reports suggest that two suspects broke into the luxury home while the family was inside. In a swift move for safety, the occupants barricaded themselves inside a bedroom and contacted authorities. It remains unclear what, if anything, the intruders managed to steal. No suspect descriptions or details regarding their escape have been made public at this time.

Roughly two hours earlier, a similar event unfolded across town in Beverly Grove. In that case, three suspects entered a home on Laurel Avenue while it was occupied. They reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry and other valuables before fleeing the scene. By the time law enforcement arrived, the perpetrators had already vanished.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident. Investigators are currently working to determine whether the two robberies are connected.

As of early Saturday morning, the suspects in both cases remained at large. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
