Search for gunmen who shot woman in Studio City news headline

Late Friday night, a chilling incident unfolded in Studio City that has left the local community shaken. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 39-year-old woman was followed home by two unidentified suspects who then shot her outside her residence.

The event took place at approximately 11:10 p.m. near Kentucky Drive and Lankershim Boulevard, a neighborhood just a stone’s throw from Universal Studios. Authorities report that the woman had just parked her car when she was confronted by two men wearing black clothing and black masks. The suspects, who had reportedly followed her in a silver sedan, fired multiple rounds before fleeing the scene.

The woman sustained a gunshot wound to her left leg and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Fortunately, she was reported to be in stable condition.

At this time, investigators are working to determine whether the woman was specifically targeted or if this was a random act of violence. No further details about the suspects have been released, and the motive behind the attack remains unknown.

The suspects are still at large, and LAPD is urging anyone with information to come forward.

This incident highlights a troubling scenario that is, unfortunately, becoming more common in urban areas—individuals being followed home and attacked in what should be the safety of their own driveways.

As the investigation continues, the community remains on high alert, hoping for a swift resolution and increased vigilance against such unsettling crimes.
