SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Local authorities are investigating a home invasion and theft that took place in Scotch Plains earlier this month.
The incident was reported on Traveller Way on Feb. 8, Scotch Plains police said in a blotter statement. During the overnight hours, an unknown subject or subjects removed car keys and personal items from the home and took both of the victims' vehicles, police said.
The invasion occurred while the residents of the home were sleeping, police said. The incident is currently under investigation. Those with information about this incident are urged to contact Scotch Plains police at (908) 322-7100.
