Rolex Stolen from Keanu Reeves’ LA Home Turns Up in Chile

Keanu Reeves

In a real-life twist reminiscent of one of his action-packed movies, Keanu Reeves—known for his role as the vengeful John Wick—has been reunited with some of his stolen belongings, thanks to an international police operation.

In late 2023, Reeves’ Los Angeles home was targeted in a burglary, with several valuable items stolen, including a Rolex Submariner engraved with his name and the words, “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.” The watch, valued at approximately $9,000, held sentimental value as it marked a milestone in his career.

The recovery occurred nearly a year later, thousands of miles away in Santiago, Chile. Local police, investigating a series of unrelated robberies, conducted raids on four properties in the city. Among the recovered items were three watches belonging to Reeves, one of which was the distinctive Rolex. Authorities arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the case.

This isn’t Reeves’ first encounter with home invasions. In 2014, his residence was broken into twice within three days. The repeated incidents underscore the vulnerability even high-profile celebrities face when it comes to securing their homes.

The irony of this case—a burglary strikingly similar to the plot of the “John Wick” franchise—has not been lost on fans. In the films, Wick’s journey begins with a home invasion that sets him on a path of relentless revenge. While the real-life Reeves is far from the fictional hitman he portrays, the recovery of his stolen items offers a small measure of justice in an otherwise harrowing ordeal.

Chilean authorities are now collaborating with their U.S. counterparts to finalize the investigation and ensure the stolen items are returned to their rightful owner. For Reeves, the return of his treasured timepiece is a reminder that, even in the most challenging situations, resilience and persistence can lead to resolution.

As this case unfolds, it highlights the importance of collaboration across borders to combat crime and restore a sense of security to victims, no matter where they are in the world. Source: Yahoo
