Encino Home Burglarized for Second Time in Less Than A Week

For the second time in just a few days, a home in Encino has been the target of burglars, leaving residents concerned about safety and security. The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating these incidents, which occurred within a span of less than a week.

On Monday evening, at around 10:30 p.m., police were called to a residence on the 4900 block of Edgerton Avenue near Moorpark Street. The homeowners were not present at the time of the break-in, and it is believed that at least two men were involved in the attempted burglary. The specifics of what was taken, if anything, remain unclear.

This recent incident follows a prior burglary attempt that occurred just a few days earlier, on Thursday. During the first break-in, three intruders shattered a sliding glass door around midnight, startling the two children and their babysitter who were home at the time. Upon realizing the home was occupied, the intruders fled without taking any items. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The LAPD has yet to determine whether the same individuals were responsible for both burglaries, but they are treating each incident with the utmost seriousness. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying and apprehending the suspects. So far, no arrests have been made.
