Hollywood power couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban became the latest victims of a high-profile home burglary in Los Angeles. Their residence was broken into and ransacked on Valentine’s Day, adding to the growing list of celebrity-targeted crimes in the city.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a burglary report at 8 p.m. on February 14. The suspects allegedly smashed a glass door to gain entry before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, neither Kidman nor Urban was home at the time of the incident, but the full extent of the theft is still under investigation.
This break-in is part of a larger pattern of celebrity home invasions in recent years. Criminals have increasingly targeted high-profile figures, taking advantage of their frequent travels and publicly documented schedules.
One of the most infamous cases was the “Bling Ring,” a group of teenagers who, between 2008 and 2009, burglarized the homes of multiple celebrities, including actress Rachel Bilson. Her home was broken into five times, with burglars stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of belongings.
More recently, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell also fell victim to sophisticated burglars. In June 2023, their home was broken into while they were out for dinner. The criminals bypassed security measures, entered through a balcony, and ransacked their closets. The actress later revealed that, months after the initial break-in, she experienced a second attempt while she was home alone.
These incidents highlight the growing concerns over home security, especially in areas where celebrities and high-net-worth individuals reside. As criminals become more sophisticated, the importance of robust security measures continues to be a major conversation in Hollywood and beyond.
